Have a Fashion Pet Peeve? We Want to Hear About It!

Do you have a fashion pet peeve? I know you do, we all do. So, tell us about it. What really gets your goat when it comes to fashion?

What is it that makes you say “Oh please . . . you must be kidding, did you look in the mirror before you left the house?”

Sometimes it’s just a lack of trying or knowing what to do that makes a person stand out, but in a not-so-good way. Tell us about the fashion mistakes you see every day walking to work or when you are shopping at the mall. If someone suffers from your fashion pet peeve you’ll be doing them a service by pointing it out. Sometimes we just need a third party to make us aware of what’s wrong.

Most importantly have fun telling us what you think. If your idea attracts our website editors attention you could see your “pet peeve” highlighted on the MyArmadio blog or perhaps on our website, which is now here!.

Calling All NonProfits and Charities

If you are involved with a nonprofit organization in any capacity or you support a charity please contact Armadio. Why? Because Armadio presents a unique opportunity to tap into a new source of donations.

How? We make It easy.

Armadio offers people the opportunity to resell clothes, accessories, jewelry and other items typically found in their closets and donate part or all of the money to the organization they favor.

Our mission is to inspire and empower people to unlock the hidden value of possessions they don’t need and to use that value to improve their lives and the lives of others by generously sharing the value they discover.

The Armadio community contributes to people’s lives and a better world by supporting causes with the value from unneeded possessions. We believe it’s possible to make a material difference in people’s lives whether by supporting cancer research or helping a shelter find homes for animals.

Armadio helps accomplish this by providing a marketplace for buying and selling pre-owned women’s apparel, accessories, and jewelry.

How Can Nonprofits Benefit from Armadio?

Armadio presents a unique opportunity to tap into a new source of donations. Think of Armadio as a “donation aggregator.” The site generates a continuous high volume of small donations, which at the end of a year translate into large “pay check!”

How Do Nonprofits Use Armadio

Once the site is available (scheduled for January 2012),rally your supporters to open “closets” and donate a portion of the sales to support a local cause or a national effort.

Armadio will feature your organization by shining bright lights on you and your charitable work. Every nonprofit will have it’s own “Custom Page” on Armadio, where you and your supports can work together. Armadio’s Goal: More Donations than Profits

And we can do it with your help!

Armadio’s Goal: Generate more money in charitable donations than corporate profit. And, the Armadio business model is designed to do just that!

How? Our a website will help you help yourself and others. Armadio helps you set up an online store or as we like to say “closet.”

It’s easy! Explore your closet and find the clothes and accessories you no longer need or want, then post them for sale on Armadio in your own virtual closet, which you can set up in minutes. No setup fee and no monthly charges. Simply pay a modest transaction fee when your item sells. That’s it!

How does that translate into donations? Again, it’s simple. When you place the item in your online store tell us how much you’d like to donate to your favorite charity. We take care of the rest. If you and other women like you donate as little as 10% of the sale price, sales will generate more money in donations than profits!

So let’s make a better world together. We’re excited and working hard to create an easy and fun shopping experience that will improve your life and support your favorite causes at the same time – everyone wins!

Stay tuned for more information and the Armadio website launch date so you can get in on the fun!.

Fashion Magazines Helpful or Harmful?

Fashion magazines fill the news stands everywhere, announcing the newest, most exciting, and most celebrity-oriented trends. The message is, “You need to look like this.”

Let’s face it, we’d all love to look like movie stars walking on a red carpet heading to a grand opening surrounded by admiring crowds with photographers on both sides smiling, clapping and snapping pictures. If you happen to be a celebrity you are already filling your spacious closet with today’s fashions.

However, if you are a mere mortal, as most of us are, then the fashions that work best for you may not be the hottest and trendiest clothes. This isn’t news, but how are you making your clothes and accessories uniquely about you?

We’d advise you to check out the new fashions, but to ignore fashion magazine hype, new fashion trends, and fashion advice that simply doesn’t “fit” you. Pay attention to what has value to you as a shopper. Choose wisely to enhance both your look and your bottom line!

Sara Jessica Parker says she likes to see her wealth by opening her closet to view her shoes – it’s a great line. But does that fit your life style?

Would You Buy What’s in Your Closet?

If you haven’t looked through the items in your closet lately, what’s in there may surprise you!

Go to your clothes closet and/or your dresser, but before you look inside pretend you are there to buy what you see. Look at the clothes and accessories from a new point of view. Ask yourself:  “Would I buy these items if I were shopping for clothes and accessories today?”  Said another way, “Which of the items I see here would I want to buy today?”

Now take all the items you would not buy if you were shopping today and put them in one section of your closet separated from all the items you would buy today.

Congratulations! You have just taken the first step toward creating a better wardrobe.

In addition, you have taken a first step toward setting up a “closet” on the soon to be launched www.Armadio.co website, where you can sell the items that don’t work for you anymore and buy things that do!

Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to make a donation to a charity you favor. To learn more signup for our emails and visit our blog again to read the newest posts on closet management, fashion tips, and other news and updates from Armadio.

See you soon!
